Chapter 31:.
Adrian was wearing his fluffy crocodile pajamas because he had just brushed against Stella's arm, causing his
hat to almost fall off his head. As he walked, his long crocodile tail swayed behind him, giving him an irresistibly
cute look.
Adrian was about to move a stool to see who was outside when he heard a deep male voice. “Adrian, it's me,
Uncle Tristan.”
“It's Uncle Cold Face,” Adrian thought.
Waiting outside, Tristan heard the boy’s footsteps and knew it was Adrian coming to open the door. He also heard
him move the stool. Not wanting to disturb the boy to move things, he spoke first.
What he didn’t expect, however, was to be greeted with the nickn“Uncle Cold Face.” Tristan was almost
offended by the name.
It was the first the had ever heard anyone call him “Uncle Cold Face.” He guessed it was because the night
before he had left with a cold expression and without saying anything, which might have frightened the boy.
He knew in his heart that Adrian was Stella’s son. But still, he was unwilling to accept the fact that Stella and RK
had a child together.
Every the thought of Stella, he felt an inexplicable urge to get close to that child, unable to help but get
close to him.
So when he spoke again, his voice becsofter. “Adrian, | know it's my fault for scaring you last night. I'm
sorry... Please let me...”
“Hmph.” Adrian let out a small, cold snort from inside. Peeking through the crack in the door, Adrian said,
“Darling said she doesn’t want to see you. She also said not to let you in.”
Tristan felt a little embarrassed, but he didn’t let any emotion show on his face. “Then may | cin? | want to
apologize to you. | know | scared you last night. Look, | even brought breakfast for you and Darling. Surely you
two haven't eaten yet, have you?”.
Adrian listened to her words and paused.
His words sounded tempting. Seeing him like this, who would believe that he was also the sman who had
left the day before without saying goodbye?
Adrian snorted, pulled the stool closer to the door and peeked through the keyhole.

Sure enough, Tristan was outside, holding two brown bags in his hand. Realizing Adrian was watching, Tristan
held up the bags as if showing off what he had brought.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWhen Adrian was caught by surprise, he felt embarrassed. He pouted and asked, “What did you buy for
breakfast? | won't let you in unless it's something | like.” Adrian sounded demanding.
But Tristan didn’t get angry. He cooperated, showing and explaining everything in the bags, one by one. “I
brought samosas, hamburgers, noodles and chole bhature, what Stella likes to eat.”
Adrian almost drooled when he heard that. What's more, he was surprised to learn that this guy knew what his
darling liked to eat.
He felt much more relaxed. More importantly, he also bought the food he liked to eat: samosas, hamburgers and
noodles.
There was still a door between them, but Adrian could almost smell the food through the door. In fact, as a
doctor, Tristan paid a lot of attention to a balanced diet. How could he let the boy eat samosas first thing in the
morning?
Tristan had never eaten anything like that.
Before, when Stella lived with the Richard family, they never gave him pocket money. Whenever Stella wanted to
eat something like that, he was the one who paid for it.
The others would see them and get jealous of her for having such a nice brother, but it always cost him money.
Eventually, Stella stopped eating things like that. After that, she wouldn't even drink soda.
It was rare for Adrian to be rewarded like this with samosas and a hamburger. He had done this for himself.
Darling usually made him hamburgers too, but he didn’t put a lot of toppings on it. It didn’t look like a hamburger
at all.
Adrian slowly opened the door for him but didn’t open it all the way. He just stuck his hand out and wouldn't let
her in.
Stella never let Adrian eat that stuff. Only when she bought for herself and went to wash her hands, he would
secretly take something to taste it. And now, when her favorite food was in front of him, how could he pass it up?
“Okay, put the food on the table near the cupboard and leave. Then I'll forgive you,” Adrian said, trying to sound
firm.
Tristan looked at him and smiled. He was very smart and didn’t want to lose out anyway. But he didn’t argue with
him and did as Adrian asked.
Tristan placed the bags on the table near the door closet and walked out of the house.
But he didn’t go far. He hid in a corner where Adrian couldn't see him. After five minutes, when Adrian thought
Tristan was really gone, he quickly opened the door and ran to get the food, not even bothering to put on his
slippers.
“Thud, thud.” Adrian suddenly froze.
He heard footsteps behind him. Without looking back, he felt that there was someone behind him.
There was a tall shadow looming over him, covering Adrian’s small body. It felt as if a demon was behind him,
and it scared Adrian very much. He tightly gripped the bags in his arms, which he believed contained samosas
and hamburgers.
He feared that Tristan had returned to snatch them from him. Slowly, he turned and saw Tristan standing behind
him. “Mr. Davis...” he said, forcing a smile.
“Yes,” Tristan replied, looking at him. He reached out and lifted Adrian, who was still holding the bags of food
tightly.
Adrian was pretty scared. Stella had carried him before, but she wasn’t as tall as Tristan. Now, Adrian felt like he
was on a roller coaster, wide-eyed with surprise.
“Don’t go out without shoes. It’s cold,” Tristan said, leading Adrian back inside. He gently wiped the dirt from
Adrian's tiny feet, which were tiny in his big hands. They seemed even smaller than the palm of his hand and
looked white and soft when he touched them. She couldn't stop her heart from softening.
As much as he disliked Stella having a child with RK, when he saw the boy, he couldn't help but want to take
care of him.
Adrian was stunned. Since he was wearing one-piece crocodile pajamas and cuddled up to Tristan, it looked like
Tristan was walking around the house with a crocodile in his arms. He had a charming look.
“Adrian, who is it?” Stella cout of the bedroom and interrupted the moment.
Stella had been worried about what would happen now that Tristan knew he had a son. And here they were...
They looked so close to each other.
Stella didn’t know what was going on. She had only slept for a little while, and the two of them had already
becso friendly.
“Darling, Mr. Davis has cto our house as a guest. He even brought us breakfast,” Adrian said, waving the
two bags in his hands as if to explain himself.
“Mr. Davis?” Stella's face showed surprise. Since when had her son started calling Tristan “Mr. Davis”? She kept
calling him “Brother,” but her son was calling him “Mr. Davis.” It seemed too much to Stella.
Tristan had a slight smile on his face, friendly but warm looking. But his smile was indifferent, and you couldn't
tell if he was happy or not. He placed Adrian on the couch and said, “I forgot my wallet here last night. | went
back to get it and brought sbreakfast.”
Adrian put the food on the table and listened to their conversation. He had thought Tristan wouldn't cback,
so he hid the wallet. Not wanting to give it back to him, he was a little tempted to keep it.
“Wallet? | haven't seen any wallet,” Stella said, really confused. She had looked for her wallet in her room and
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmhadn’t found anything.
Tristan looked at Adrian, who was pretending to eat, and said, “I gave it to Adrian last night. He should know
where it is.”
Both adults looked at Adrian at the stime. Seeing himself being stared at like that, Adrian had no choice but
to go to his room and take his wallet.
But before handing it over, he took out a hundred rupees and said innocently, “I opened the door for you
barefoot, so | can take this as a reward, can’t 17”.
“No, you can’t take other people’s money,” Stella said. Seeing this, she didn’t hesitate and took the wallet and
the hundred rupees out of Adrian’s hands.
Then she put the money and wallet back into Tristan’s hand and said, “Take it. Adrian is not sensible, please
don’t listen to him.”
After hearing this, Tristan reached out and rubbed Adrian’s little head, who was standing in front of him. He took
the money out of his wallet and said, “It's okay. Since this is the first twe've met, | didn’t bring any presents.
So I'll give you smoney to buy whatever you want.”
It was no small amount of money. Tristan pulled all the money out of his wallet. Just as the money was about to
fall into Adrian’s small hands, suddenly an alligator cap was thrown behind his head. Without further ado, he was
now standing behind Stella.
“No need. The children don’t need money,” she said, after which she glared at Adrian, who was standing next to
her. She looked at him as if she was ready to scold him.
Adrian, frightened by Stella, in the end did not get a penny. After the exchange, Stella went to the bathroom to
wash up.
As soon as he left, Adrian grabbed Tristan’s leg and said plaintively, “Mr. Davis, it will soon be Darling’s birthday. |
want to give her a present, but she won't giveany pocket money.
Can | borrow a hundred rupees? When I'm older, I'll pay you back.”
Tristan chuckled. This time, when he took out a hundred rupees for Adrian, he also said, “I want to buy a gift for
Stella, too. How about we pick something out together?”
“Okay,” Adrian nodded quickly, eagerly accepting the money and pocketing it.
